Have you ever watched a show and hit a certain episode and you're like, "Nope"? It doesn't have to be that you quit liking the program, it could merely be that you know something is going to happen and you don't want to actually see it happen.
I've been in a perpetual holding pattern with Bakuman. I am currently on episode 21, and I have not mustered up the courage to watch the next episode: Solidarity and Breakdown. I know when I finally watch the episode it will not be as stress-inducing as I assumed it might be, but, until I can get past that feeling, I am stuck.
On a side note, I have wanted to watch Puella Magi Madoka Magica for years now, but have never convinced myself to do so. I remember reading a story about how some woman bought a bootleg copy of it. Judging by the cover, she thought her young daughter would like it. She wound up giving it to her to watch and then she, herself, went to the store to run errands. When she came back home, she found her daughter curled up in a ball crying her eyes out. That is all I know about the series.
I have watched When They Cry without any sort of hesitation. It's odd what I will or will not watch sometimes.
