A lot of you have been asking how the Friday 4Koma’s artwork is created. This is a basic rundown of the process:
For starters, Friday 4Komas are laid out more like an animation than a comic. The characters and the backgrounds are independently placed in each 4koma frame unlike a traditional comic where the characters and backgrounds are simply drawn together. Continued – 続きを読む →
These are examples of our very first t-shirt and Omake Theater will be debuting it at Otakon a week from now. Depending on how well it sells, there’s a very good chance we’ll be offering them online shortly after the con.
Currently working on the very first game for Omake Theater. As of right now the game is about 45% complete. Still anticipating an early to mid-May release date. But while you wait for the actual game, here’s a some teaser samples of a few of the enemies’ sprites* that appear in the game:
Poonut
MagiSkull
Goblet
*sprites are being displayed at 200% of their regular size
The main page to Omake Theater is finally finished updated. When the site launched, the home page that was there was nothing more than of a filler page of sort until the final version could go live. Fortunately, that version is finally live.
The computer problems that cause last week’s Friday 4Koma to not launch on time have been resolved. Also, looking to do some minor design tweaks to the main page before Omake Theater’s (おまけ劇場) hard launch in January. And lastly, a new avatar has been added to the Stuff (表情) section inspired by today’s Friday 4Koma.
Made a drastic style change to the very first Friday 4Koma. This is the style that all the comics to follow will have. Plus, added the avatar related to this comic into the goodies section.
Welcome, to Omake Theater.
Its finally live! For almost everyone reading this that’s not such a big deal since you didn’t even know it existed. But for the few, the proud, the Marines select few you knew that this project has been in the works for more than a year and a half. So it’s a very rewarding feeling to be able to finally release it to the masses.
Now even though this is the “official launch” of Omake Theater its being treated as a soft launch. As there are currently only the Friday 4Koma [金曜日4コマ] comics available on the site and no omakes or games at the present time. But fear not as the omakes will begin running in December and there should be at least one game available before the end of the year.
So in the interim look around, poke, prod and see what makes the site tick. And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
